The Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems IPMS is a leader in applied research and development in the fields of photonics, microelectronics and microsystem technology for intelligent industrial solutions, medical technology and mobility. Fraunhofer IPMS works on electronic, mechanical and optical components and their integration into miniaturized devices and systems. Research focuses on miniaturized sensors and actuators, integrated circuits, wireless and wired data communication as well as customer-specific MEMS systems and microdisplays. In the three clean rooms, research and development takes place on 200 and 300 mm wafers. The range of services extends from conception and product development to pilot production in our own laboratories and clean rooms.
